Sketch from the Past

Today I found a marker drawing from when I was 14! I was actually kind of dazzled by its concept, so I’ve started to re-draw it. “How would I draw this now, 13 years later?”, I thought. You know, I think it’s easier to be creative when you’re younger. When you sit down to draw, you don’t over-think it. It isn’t this self-imposed pressure of hey, right now I need to come up with something really great and draw it perfect. You just have more fun, ’cause no one else’s gunna see it. I’d put money on the idea that.. your best pieces of writing, art, or whatever it is that you do, are the ones you’re most embarrassed about.

Mini Art Projects

This is an invitation I made for my sister’s bridal shower. Made to emulate a vintage sewing pattern. The dress pieces go inside of the envelope, pictured in the middle.

And lastly, a little birthday card!
